VOLTERRA Latini Saverio


Volterra is one of the most famous medieval towns in Tuscany.
The town was a Neolithic settlement and an important Etruscan centre with a native civilization.
The  main monuments are:
 The Cathedral in roman style with an amazing bell tower.
Baptistery of San Giovanni with its decorated walls

Palazzo dei Priori begun in 1208 and finished in 1257 
where you can admire decorations and coats of arms of the nineteenth century.
Volterra is visited above all for its famous walls , Etruscan historical artifacts and the "Museo Etrusco Guarnacci"
or theatres such as: 
"Teatro di San Pietro" "Teatro Persio Flacco" 
"Teatro di Santa Chiara" "Teatro romano di Volterra"

In the first week of August is the festival of VolterraJazz
In the first half of July in the magnificent archaeological area of the Roman theatre, takes place the International Festival "The Verse, the inspiration, Il Canto" conceived and directed by Simon Migliorini.
